The verified badge
Every brand on the list says on its own website that it makes its products in Portugal. The badge goes one step further: it means someone on the project confirmed that production by other means.
What the badge means
A brand is listed on the strength of what its website says. A brand with the badge has been confirmed independently by a project maintainer. The badge says nothing about quality, price or a brand's practices: only that production in Portugal was confirmed.
What evidence we accept
A visit to the factory or workshop, a certificate or official registration, photos of production, or direct contact with the manufacturer. The brand page shows the date of the check. Documents with personal data are never published.
How to ask for it
The brand fills in the request form on GitHub and says how we can confirm production. A project maintainer reviews the request, arranges whatever else is needed and, once production is confirmed, awards the badge. It is free and cannot be bought.
When the badge is removed
If production moves abroad or the evidence no longer holds, the badge is removed. Anyone can tell us through the correction form.
